Our Mission

WEBE supports and informs Black women, birthing individuals, and their communities before, during, and after pregnancy through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and research to improve Black maternal health outcomes.

Our work is deeply rooted in fostering authentic relationships, leveraging shared cultural knowledge, and providing evidence-based health information to drive meaningful change. By equipping Black females with the tools to overcome systemic barriers to their health, we aim to ensure they receive and fully benefit from a lifetime of maximized health outcomes.

Meet the Team

With over 20 years of collective experience in medicine, public health, and academics, combined with our lived experience as Black women, we are experts in direct service to Black women and solving the social and health problems that matter most to our community.  We believe that change occurs through intentional connection and collective impact.
